Lake Michigan

Lake Michigan is one of the five Great Lakes of North America and the only one located entirely within the United States. It covers portions of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Lake Michigan is connected directly to Lake Huron, into which it drains, through the broad Straits of Mackinac. Lake Michigan's shore is home to the largest freshwater sand dunes in the world. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, as well as many other protected dunes along the western coast of Michigan, make up the world's largest collection of freshwater sand dunes.

Torch Lake

At 18 miles long, it is Michigan's longest lake, and is the state's second largest lake, covering an area of 29-square miles. Elk Lake

Located at the south end of the Elk River Chain of Lakes, Elk Lake is a beautiful freshwater lake fed from Torch River through Lake Skegemog.

With more than 8,000 acres and nearly 26 miles of shoreline, there’s no shortage of things to do in and around the water! Tourists and residents alike swim along the shallow shores or sunbathe on the sandy beaches. The clear, Caribbean-like waters are peppered with motor boats or sailboats cruising along the nine-mile length of the lake and paddle boats navigating the shoreline.
